Who founded Next Step CPR and Safety Training?

Next Step CPR and Safety Training was established in 2006 by Tim Kreutzer. Tim started Next Step CPR as a result of years of frustration over taking CPR classes in Denver by less than adequate instructors.

Like so many others, he would leave the class feeling less than empowered to deal with a life threatening emergency. Sure, there were lots of “war” stories of emergencies the instructors had dealt with, but few understood effective teaching and how to get the students to retain the material.

After spending many years in the Outdoor recreation field in education, guiding and working as a Wilderness First Responder, he decided to start up Next Step CPR to offer a better educational experience to his students.

Tim is certified to teach Both American Safety and Health Institute and American Heart Association classes. He also has a degree in both Outdoor Education and Park Ranger Technology, with extensive teaching experience in both of these fields. He has worked as a guide, Wilderness First Responder, ropes course builder designer and trainer, in construction and as an arborist.
